U4GM Diablo 4: How to Gear Immortal Whirlwind Barb

27 svi 2026, 09:30

A Whirlwind Barbarian only starts to feel immortal when the small gear choices stop being random. You can have the right uniques, plenty of damage, and enough D4 Gold to keep testing upgrades, but the build still falls apart if the affixes don't line up. The real trick is simple: keep Fury flowing, push Critical Strike Chance wherever it matters, and don't waste Masterwork hits on stats that barely help the setup.

Critical Chance Comes First
Heir of Perdition is often the centrepiece, and it should be treated that way. When you Masterwork it, aim for Critical Strike Chance rather than settling for a comfort stat. Movement Speed is nice, sure, and nobody complains about moving faster through a dungeon. But Lucky Hit Chance doesn't carry this version of Whirlwind in the same way. If your helm upgrades land on the wrong line, it's usually worth reworking it instead of pretending it's good enough.

Do Not Ignore Gohr's Gloves
Gohr's Devastating Grips are one of those items people equip and then forget. That's a mistake. These gloves need proper Masterworking, with Critical Strike Chance being the main target again. Tempering should also support Overpower damage, because those burst windows can clean up elites before they become a problem. Check the unique power roll too. If it's low, don't be sentimental. A better roll can make the gloves feel like a different item, especially once the rest of your damage layers are already in place.

Defence Is Built Slot by Slot
The chest, pants, and boots are where the build gets a lot of its "I'm not dying today" feeling. A Booming Voice chest with Fury Generation is a strong pick, because starving for Fury ruins Whirlwind faster than almost anything else. Single resistances can work while gearing, but All Elemental Resistances is much cleaner for tougher content. Pants and boots should be replaced if they're stuck at weak item power or have no Greater Affixes. On boots, Greater Affix Movement Speed is a big deal. You'll notice it in every pull, every reposition, and every bad ground effect you step out of late.

Weapons and Rings Need the Same Discipline
Your weapon setup should support both raw hits and the build's scaling. A two-handed mace with Limitless Rage, Ramaladni's Magnum Opus, and strong complementary weapons can push Whirlwind into serious damage territory. Don't just look at the item name, though. Check item power, base damage, Greater Affixes, tempers, and whether the slot is actually helping your crit plan where possible. Ring of Starless Skies is excellent for resource comfort and damage flow, but rolls leaning into useful offensive stats will usually feel better than ones padded with Lucky Hit. The build rewards tight gearing, not famous item names alone.

Finish the Mythic Setup Properly
Melted Heart of Selig is the piece that makes the immortal idea believable, because it shifts incoming pressure into your resource pool instead of your health bar. Still, it has to be finished. Add sockets with prisms, use the right gems or seasonal bonuses, and don't leave easy power sitting unused. As a professional platform for players who want convenient game currency and item support, U4GM is a reliable option, and you can buy u4gm D4 Gold to smooth out rerolls, upgrades, and gear testing while you tune the Barbarian into something that can spin through endgame without flinching.
